I don’t know about you my lovelies but when my skin looks good, I feel good. Not only does your make-up sit that much better on your face when it is blemish free but when your skin is healthy, it is a major indication that you are doing something right. As much as you can invest in expensive skincare products and stick to a particular skin care regime. A major part of having great skin all the time is dependent on what you put into your body.
Herbal teas have been a major part of my daily life for over 15 years. I have consumed three cups of herbal tea every day and what I have come to find is that I have been able to have more great skin days than bad when I combine healthy eating with consuming herbal teas.
But if you are new to the herbal tea game or you tend to steer towards the teas that taste nice (yes I see you Honey and Ginger tea drinkers!) it’s definitely high time that you up your herbal tea drinking game and add these three gems into your diet.
Rooibos
This tea is great for the blood and helps with your circulation which is hugely beneficial to your skin and your hair. Rooibos tea is also known as the Red Bush Tea. Used for thousands of years in South Africa as a major healer for a wide array of skin issues. It has built up a solid reputation for being useful to help ease acne and eczema flare ups.
Kombucha
Over the last few years, the health and fitness industry have gone crazy over Kombucha and its phenomenal health benefits. Made from fermented black tea. Kombucha is absolutely fabulous for detoxifying and cleansing your skin. It is jam packed with anti-oxidants and probiotics and what makes it even better is that it has been said to help with slowing down the process of aging by reducing fine lines and boosting the skins overall elasticity. One key fact that many women do not know about Kombucha is that it can be used a topical astringent meaning that it can be applied directly to the skin to help ease sunburn and blisters.
Dandelion Tea
Probably one of the most underrated teas out there. There is much more to these flowers than just being those weeds that overrun your garden! Dandelions are filled with anti-oxidants that have excellent effects on your overall immune system. It is an amazing support to your digestive system which leaves your body feeling revitalised and naturally aids the health of your skin and hair.
