If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’ll know I’m all about discovering unique experiences that bring joy, creativity, and a touch of magic into everyday life. So, when I booked tickets to Avora: An Immersive Cocktail Adventure in London, I was expecting a fun evening out with a few fancy drinks. What I wasn’t expecting? To be completely transported into another universe.
Let me take you there…
From the moment I arrived, I could feel this wasn’t going to be your average night out. Greeted by mysterious figures and handed my very own Roscorp Enterprise jumpsuit, I was quickly briefed by the enigmatic Dr. Shelley on a secret mission that would change the course of humanity. Dramatic? Yes. But believe me – I was all in.
Our journey began with crafting the first cocktail: Luminol – a glowing, otherworldly creation that didn’t just look beautiful… it shifted the way I felt. With every sip, the colours changed, my senses heightened, and I felt myself letting go of the London I’d arrived in. It wasn’t long before I was no longer a visitor. I was a recruit – a part of something so much bigger.
What followed was a mind-blowing journey through a series of immersive spaces – each more mesmerising than the last. From glowing, bioluminescent woodlands to futuristic laboratories, each room pulled us further into the world of Avora. There were captivating soundscapes, vibrant neon visuals, and otherworldly locals (played by some truly phenomenal actors) who brought the story to life with such passion, I genuinely forgot it wasn’t real.
And let me tell you – I laughed, I gasped, I mingled with the locals of another universe, tasted the unknown, and marvelled at the creativity of it all. It was liberating, surreal, and unforgettable. For those precious hours, I was present, playful, and completely immersed in the moment.
I left the experience with a full heart, a little glow in my step (and possibly in my bloodstream – those cocktails are powerful 👀), and a newfound appreciation for immersive theatre and storytelling. Avora was more than a cocktail night – it was a journey, a mission, and a memory I’ll treasure for a long time.
