If you were born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s, this latest look will definitely bring back memories. When I was younger, girl groups often rocked combat boots and showed just a hint of midriff. It was an understated yet sexy style. You didn’t need to reveal much skin to make a statement, and you could still turn heads without showing off too much. I absolutely loved TLC and Aaliyah; their style embodied casual chic with a touch of sass. They were the inspiration behind this look, reminding me of how simple yet effective casual fashion can be. This outfit was easy to put together, but out of all the looks I shot that day, this one was my favorite. I love how the Timberland boots complement the combat green; it’s the perfect colour combination.
